How Do I PREVENT a Hangover?
Hangover Prevention : Is There a Best Hangover Cure?
Hangovers do not have to be experienced by anyone. In many cases, hangovers happen due to our own negligence. In this section we will list the preventative measures you can take while out on the town (and avoiding a ‘costly’ hang over!)
First, before going out:
It is recommended that you take some anti-hangover supplements with you. Take these pills as directed during your first drink. What the supplements will do is absorb much of the toxins that cause hangovers. The usage of all natural anti-hangover supplements really works. We recommend that you at least try them if you haven’t already. We have links here for products such as Chasers, which is what we use regularly here.
Eat something before heading out. Go for a good dairy, fatty (or even greasy) meal before drinking. The fatty, and protein-laden, foods take a bit longer to digest and can mix with the alcohol in your stomach. This causes the alcohol to become ‘diluted’ due to the amount of food in your stomach which gives your body more time to process the alcohol. Also, fatty foods will ‘stick to your gut’ or coat your stomach more which allows for more protection against an irritated or upset stomach while out.
Remember that alcohol lowers your blood sugar which also causes many people to get the ‘munchies’. This feeling is a sign to many individuals that people should really snack throughout the night to avoid the nasty hangovers through keeping something in their stomach, besides JUST alcohol, as well as keeping their blood sugar levels in a decent range. Speak with your doctor for more details.
